Jensen Ackles by zakkiya29 Jensen Ackles by zakkiya29
This drawing is a scene from the hit tv series Supernatural and here I have drawn Dean Wincester played by Jensen Ackles.

Materials Used</u>
-A4 smooth paper
-Staedtler Mars Lumograph pencils
-Putty eraser
-Eraser stick

About the drawing
I love this show and I've wanted to draw Dean for quite some time now. I didn't want to draw a popular picture of him. This scene talks a lot about the character of Dean in the series. There is so much emotion filled behind that tough exterior that he portrays.
I can't say I have got his features exactly right here. There is something amiss. I can't really place what it is.

hello my name is sierra and i wanted to critique your picture i love this guy to ;) i love how you decided to not do a comon picture it really sets the mood for the rest of the picture. the sheer uniqueness of the picture, he isnt much of a crier but your really captured something for me. when i look at this picture i feel that when i look at the picture and the dynamic of deans personality. Dean bottles( which means he doesnt really give himself a chance to feel) and by looking at this picture i see how he feels most of the time. I simply applaud you on a job well done. WELL DONE!!!!!!!

I really like the darks you achieved in this portrait but I really feel that the whites are lacking. I would have liked to see more white to give more contrast, especially the highlights around his eyes and chin. On the other hand, his face is a little bit wider than it really is, I think that might be what you think is amiss.
I have to say though, the emotion in this piece is very clear and gives such an impact. I have to commend you for that since emotion, especially one that is not extreme like bawling or complete anger, is hard to show. I'd love to see more portraits like this where emotion is the main focus.

I like this, i like that you weren't afraid to add darker tones in there and it looks like you enjoyed working on textures in the flesh tones. Keep exploring these things and they will just get better and better. Well done

very well drawn, conveying a good deal of the subjects emotion, but it seems to lack a curtain amount of depth.
